Gourgourinis Abstract: This book examines the multiple challenges and manifestations of the law of the World Trade Organization (WTO). The analysis embarks from the various phases of evolution of international economic law and discusses the factors which shape international economic relations. The main part of the book is dedicated to the institutional framework of the WTO, the WTO agree- ments on trade in goods (such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade of 1994, the Anti-Dumping Agreement, the SCM Agreement, the TBT Agree- ment etc), the General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), as well as the dispute settlement procedures in the context of theWTO. Finally, the book con- siders issues not directly regulated by the WTO agreements (trade and human rights, trade and competition, trade and cultural diversity).
