Αλληλεγγύη στην πόλη: η διαχείριση του προσφυγικού στην Αθήνα Solidarity in the city: managing the refugee issue in Athens Γιώργος Καμίνης Δήμαρχος Αθηναίων, Συντονιστής Δικτύου ‘Solidarity Cities’ Giorgos Kaminis Mayor of Athens, Coordinator of the Network ‘Solidarity Cities’ Abstract This contribution presents the management of the refugee issue and the rele- vant actions in the city of Athens since the massive arrivals of 2015, as well as the iniative of ‘Solidarity Cities’ and the participation of the Municipality of Athens in this Network. The fight against racism is also described as one of the priorities of the Municipality. Despite the lack of a national plan for the in- tegration of refugees, the Municipality developed solutions regarding accom- modation and access to the labour market in the framework of the European project Urban Innovative Actions. Ι. Η διαχείριση του προσφυγικού Η πρώτη θητεία της δημοτικής αρχής συνέπεσε με την αρχή της οικονομικής κρί- σης στη χώρα μας, έτσι η ανθρώπινη αξιοπρέπεια αποτέλεσε βασική προτεραιό- τητά μας, που υλοποιήθηκε μέσω της κοινωνική πολιτικής του Δήμου. Εστιάσα- με στις ευάλωτες κοινωνικές ομάδες, περάσαμε από την Φιλανθρωπία, στην Αλ- ληλεγγύη και μετά στη Δικτύωση για μεγαλύτερη αποτελεσματικότητα, με στόχο να παρέχουμε όσο το δυνατόν μεγαλύτερη βοήθεια σε εκείνους που είχαν ανάγκη, βρίσκοντας επιπλέον πόρους για την πολιτική μας και ξεπερνώντας συχνά το στε-
