Itdisplaysthehistoricalevolutionofsuchproceedings inFranceandproposes a standard definition of the term“interimmeasure”which can be applied to all three types of French interim measures, .i.e. to the measures ordered in anticipation of the main proceedings, to the measures anticipating the decision on the substance of the case and to the measures anticipating the enforcement procedure (second chapter). It also presents the conditions under which these three different types of French interimmeasures can be ordered (third chapter).
