The exchange of students and researchers, and the open and grow- ing scientific dialogue between the two countries have made the recording of the scientific issues necessary, providing a stable ground for further analysis. An effort was made to simplify specialized legal terms and texts, in order to be easily under- stood to a non-jurist audience; respectively, drawings, technical terms and specifica- tions have been made accessible to readers who do not have a relevant cognitive background. This effort is further enhanced by the inclusion of tables and graphs -an original element in Greek legal literature- thereby contributing to a more holistic approach to issues of Urban and Spatial Planning Law. Finally, this text attempts to redefine the field of Urban Planning Law by taking into consideration the evolution of rules in multiple specialized spectors, all of which contribute to the organization of a framework concerning construction.
