The Sources of Public Law Magdalini-Christina Vlachou-Vlachopoulou Attorney at law, LL.M. in Public Law ISBN 978-960-654-117-9 Abstract: The study focuses on the presentation of the general theory regarding the Sources of Public Law, whereas it also offers an overview of both the domes- tic and the international Sources of Public Law, in order to reveal the dynamic and volatile nature of the notion of the Sources of Public Law. In order for this nature to be made even more apparent, a separate chapter is devoted to a new category of Sources of Public Law, that is the Soft Law. The author’s main aim and aspiration is to underline the importance, both at the Theory’s and at the Practice’s level, of the deep and thorough knowledge and un- derstanding of the notion, the nature and the functions of each Source of Public Law, given that the Sources of Law, in general, and of Public Law, in particular, constitute the very core of the phenomenon called Law (Δίκαιο).
