It includes a comparative study of UK and US competition law. In the first chapters there is a theoretical analysis of the EU, Greek, Cypriot, UK and US Competition Law, historic facts and laws and in-depth analysis regarding the notions of monopoly, duopoly, oligopoly and dominant position. Further, horizontal andverticalagreementsareanalysed,the issuesoftheexemptionsfromcompetition law and the legal framework of state aid. The following chapters include the public, criminal, private, state (for some US states, such as California, New York and Texas) and international application of competition law. The fourteen chapters have been written in a way to assist the reader for the better understanding of the concepts of the competition law with the combination of theory and practice. Innovations of the book include the “form” (which explains how we approach methodologically a competition case), questions and answers, proposed topics for university essays and synopses per chapter, the impact of Brexit and of pandemic on the competition law, and in the last pages of the book there are five topics for exams.
