The use of illegally obtained evidence in civil proceedings Dr. iur. Dimitrios A. Papanikolaou Attorney-at-law, LL.M. ISBN 978-960-654-236-7 Abstract: The present thesis engages the use of illegally obtained evidence in front of the civil courts. Although the point of view is narrowed down to the Rules of Civil Procedure, the conclusions could also be fruitful for the administrative as well as the criminal jurisdiction. Starting initially with an introduction in terms and con- cepts required for the better understanding of thematter at hand and furthermore with the definition of the academical subject (§ 1), the second section (§ 2) under- takes the task of analyzing methodological aspects of the problem, in addition to presenting an overview and evaluation of critical, theoretical, points regarding the subject. Subsequently, in § 3 takes place an examination of the, prevailing, legal provisions, that are relevant to the exclusion or consideration of illegally obtained evidence in civil proceedings. The thesis concludes with a summarizing presenta- tion of the main results (§ 4). COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
