2 §1. Εισαγωγικές παρατηρήσεις αυξανόμενης ανάγκης μεγαλύτερης αποτελεσματικότητας και προβλεψιμότητας ανα- φορικά με την αναγνώριση και εκτέλεση των αλλοδαπών διαιτητικών αποφάσεων 5 . Ο στόχος αυτός προϋπέθετε, εντούτοις, την αποδοχή της Σύμβασης από αυξημένο αριθ- μό Κρατών. Για το λόγο αυτό, ιδιαίτερη έμφαση δόθηκε στην επίτευξη ενός σπουδαίου και πρακτικά χρήσιμου συμβιβασμού 6 : προώθηση της διεθνούς εμπορικής διαιτησίας, παράλληλα δε διασφάλιση των θεμελιωδών δικαϊκών αρχών των συμβαλλόμενων Κρα- τών 7 . 5.
