4 ΕΙΣΑΓΩΓΗ (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2), έδωσε την ευκαιρία να επαναδια- τυπωθούν πολλές τέτοιες επιστημονικές απόψεις, συνδέοντας την κλιματική κρίση, την κρίση της βιοποικιλότητας και την κρίση της δημόσιας υγείας 15 . Μάλιστα πολλοί είναι εκείνοι που υποστηρίζουν ότι η υποβάθμιση της βιοποικιλότητας οδηγεί σε κρίση της ανθεκτικότητας των οικοσυστημάτων, από την υγιή κατάσταση των οποίων εξαρτάται ο ίδιος ο άνθρωπος, η υγεία του και εν τέλει η ζωή του και ότι γενικότερα η περιβαλλο- ντική κρίση ΄γέννησε΄ την κρίση στη δημόσια υγεία 16 , άποψη που ήδη είχε διατυπωθεί πολλά χρόνια νωρίτερα 17 .
