Delineation of international jurisdiction in disputes relating to contract and tort according to the Regulation 1215/2012 An interpretative approach particularly in light of the case law of the European Court of Justice Chrisoula Michailidou Lawyer, PhD ISBN 978-960-654-537-5 Abstract: The present book deals with international jurisdiction in disputes relat- ing to contract and tort according to the Regulation 1215/2012. An interpretative approach to the critical concepts of these specific jurisdictional bases is sought, in particular in the light of the case law of the European Court of Justice. Critical interpretative tools are the autonomous, the verbal, the historic, the systematic, the purposive, the comparative interpretation, but also the interpretation in ac- cordance with the Union law and the fundamental human rights. The study also examines the case of concurrence of contractual and tortious liability concluding with a proposal for a revision of the article 7 of the Regulation. COPYRIGHT All rights reserved.
