Following the introductory chap- ter, the book is divided into two parts. In the first part, we analyze the application of EU competition rules (Articles 101-102TFEU, merger control) in the insurance sector. In the second part, we examine specific arguments which could be considered in favor of the insurance sector during the assessment under article 101 TFEU. Gener- al competition law principles’ application on the categories of agreements, which until 2017 were block exempted, is also scrutinized. The study is concluded with a conclusions section.
