It was formally introduced through Colonial legistrlation as part of the Cyprus Legal Order and since independence 1960 by virtue of section 29 of the Courts of Justice Law 1960. The Cyprus Courts follow the English case law as adapted by the Cyprus temperament and legislative provisions. The treatise examines the historical devel- opment of Cyprus Equity Law, specific performance, estoppel, the maxims of equity and unjust enrichment along with the remedies provided such as accounts, rescis- sion, appointment of receivers and managers, rectification, setting aside etc. Trusts, TrusteesandcharitabletrustsalongwiththeCyprus internationaltrust institutionare also reviewed.
