The new law attempts to reconstruct the provisions of the bankruptcy law. The aim ιs to tackle both commercial insolvency and civil liability in the sense of addressing the overall financial weakness of individuals, regardless of their commercial or non-commercial status, and legal entities pursuing an economic purpose, the collective satisfaction of their creditors and the discharge from debts. The ministerial decisions in execution of authorizing provisions of the new Law are also included. Like the previous edition, this one also includes the Greek Βankrupt- cy Code 2007, as well as the current legislation on cross-border bankruptcies in and outside the EU.
