Abstract:

This two-volume book constitutes a tribute to the Professor Emeritus

at the Law School of Athens, Ioannis K. Karakostas. He has served, inter alia, as

a Vice-Rector of the University of Athens in financial matters and as legal advisor

to the Prime Minister from July 2012 until January 2015. On top of his love of

teaching and research, he has been entirely devoted to the University of Athens

both from a practical scope, through the participation in its administration, and

from a literary scope, through the narration of its long-standing history. This

edition is a minimal indication of appreciation to the honored Professor and an

acknowledgement of his work by his colleagues, friends and students.
