The right of defence in criminal proceedings
Abstract:
This volume comprises expanded and updated versions of the contri-
butions at the 7th Conference of the Hellenic Criminal Bar Association on “The
right of defence in criminal proceedings”. The studies address various fundamen-
tal and topical criminal defence issues from a national, European and international
perspective. Particular emphasis is given on the scope of defence rights and the
legal consequences arising from their violation, in the light of the EU regulatory
framework as well as the ECtHR and CJEU relevant case law.
