St. Giakoumis (ed), E.-E. Galinou, Ch. Poni
Abstract: This edition presents Social Security Law in the form of diagrams com-
plemented by specific analysis. It is divided by topic into nine chapters cover-
ing the main issues of social security: first, the types of social security schemes
are presented followed by a presentation of the legislative framework per or-
ganization of main security. Then, the main dangers of social insurance and
the general principles of social security law are analysed in individual chapters.
Furthermore, specific institutions of social security, as well as the obligations of
employers or self-employed persons towards the social security authorities, are
presented in detail. The last chapters focus on employment of pensioners, the
procedure for resolving disputes arising from acts issued by the social security
authorities, as well as the supplementary social insurance system. This edition is
up-to-date with the new provisions of Law 4387/2016, including all recent case
law of the Hellenic Council of State, with additional interpretative comments.
It includes templates of the most common extrajudicial and judicial documents
with regard to social security disputes.
