Attorney at Law, LL.M. Humboldt Universität zu Berlin

Abstract: The need for speedy resolution of disputes through experienced

and competent, in each subject, judges increasingly highlights the arbi-

tration as the appropriate alternative dispute resolution mechanism. The

present work precedes a theoretical approach of arbitration, followed by

the most important Greek and international legislative texts on arbitra-

tion, which are accompanied by a large body of case law as well as com-

ments of the authors. This book aims to contribute to the increase of the

percentage of disputes resolved in arbitration, to the benefit of both the

disputing parties and the state courts through reduction of their workload.
