ENVIRONMENT - PUBLIC PROCUREMENT:
Recent developments and debates
Abstract: The volume reflects the work and findings of the Conference “ENVI-
RONMENT - PUBLIC PROCUREMENT: Recent developments and debates” or-
ganised by the «Members of Legal Council of the State» and the «Hellenic Single
Public Procurement Authority – HSPPA» held in Nafplion on 10-12 October
2014. Therefore, it includes all the presentations on the Conference topics, which
covered both its abovementioned thematic sections (ENVIRONMENT - PUBLIC
PROCUREMENT). In particular, regarding to the topic of Environment, the Con-
ference dealt with the individual issues of illegal construction, land planning,
cultural environment, forests and water resources management, as well as with
more specific issues such as construction on the foreshore or the architecture of
the New Construction Regulation. Further, in the field of public procurement,
the presentations of the Conference covered all the main topics i.e. the conclusion
and execution of public contracts, the award process of such contracts and the
contracting authorities, the Private and Public Sector Partnerships, the powers of
the Court of Auditors, the recourse to judicial protection and its alternative forms
such as arbitration etc.
