The unilateral harmful change of the contractual terms
of employment
Dimitrios D. Moraitis,
Member of the Legal Council of the State
Abstract: This study examines the issue of unilateral harmful change of the
contractual terms of employment, in terms of substantive as well as procedural
law. The methodological path followed begins with the examination of the
general part of the law of unilateral harmful change (conditions of enforcement
of Article 7 § 1 L. 2112/1920, consequences of unilateral harmful change,
ratio legis). Subsequently, the special cases of unilateral harmful change are
examined, while at the end, an evaluation of the protection provided to the
employee is attempted.
