Abstract: This book is destined to be primarily a student textbook. It aims to pro-

vide a concise description of intellectual property law, according to the Greek and

European legislation, court jurisprudence and academic literature. Citations to

the major Greek and CJEU cases and the existing legal literature allow readers to

seekmore detailed and specific information on current issues of intellectual prop-

erty. The first part of this book refers to the general principles of intellectual prop-

erty law. The second part refers to specific intellectual property rights, such as

rights relating to technical inventions (i.e. patents), aesthetic works (i.e. designs),

non-registered distinctive signs and registered trademarks. The last part of the

book covers the subject matter of unfair competition and unfair trade practices.
