Abstract: The book presents an analysis of the crimes against personal legal in-
terests, as described in the Greek Penal Code. More specifically, it presents an
analysis of the crimes against human life and embryo, physical integrity, sexual
freedom, marriage, family, honour and dignity. Every chapter begins with refer-
ence to the values protected by its provisions. Thereafter an analysis of actus reus
andmens rea of all crimes described in the chapter takes place, with special refer-
ence to problems of attempt, illegal participation in the commission of the crimes
and criminal sanctions provided for them. The analysis of the book is supported
by the main modern jurisprudence of the criminal courts on the relevant subjects.
