The New Law of Bankruptcy,

4th edition

George N. Michalopoulos

Professor at Law School

National and Kapodistrian University of Athens

Abstract:

The recently adopted Law no. 4446/22.12.2016 introduced, inter

alia, particularly significant amendments to the Bankruptcy Code – both in the

pre-bankruptcy resolution process (Articles 99 et seq), and in the bankruptcy pro-

cedures of reorganization and liquidation. These changes are included in the first

part of the Law (Articles 1 to 13), and made it necessary to publish this edition

anew; as all its earlier versions, this bankruptcy legislation compendium includes

not only the codified bankruptcy regulations as in force currently, but also their

previous versions as in force before the amendments were introduced.
