Cyprus Administrative Law
Costas Paraskeva,
Lecturer of Public Law at University of Cyprus
Abstract:
Article 146 of the Cyprus Constitution introduced the judicial review
of administrative acts in the Cypriot legal order. The structure of judicial
control of administrative action in Cyprus is founded on the principles of civil
administrative law. The development of Cypriot administrative law is mainly
based on the case law of the Greek Conseil d’ Etat (Symvoulio tis Epikratias).
This book seeks to provide a detailed and systematic study of the application of
administrative law in the domestic legal order of Cyprus, an analytical review
of all the relevant jurisprudence of the Supreme Court of Cyprus. It is a work
that primarily concerns the legal rules which apply to the structure, function
and the relationship between the public administration and individuals.
