Abstract:
Legal writings on the General Principles of Civil Law usually begin with a chapter
which deals with the law and the legal rule in general. Their remaining contents, which
also refer to fundamental concepts such as those of ‘subjects of law’ (persons), ‘right’,
‘legal act’ etc., essentially render the General Principles of Civil Law an Introduction not
only to Civil Law but to the field of law in general. And also vice versa, an Introduction to
Civil Law cannot but constitute, largely, condensed General Principles – which is precisely
what the title and subtitle of this work imply.
