Immigration and Nationality law
Evdokia N. Stavroulaki
Attorney-at-Law and accredited Mediator,
DEA National Defense and European Security
Abstract: µhis volume is an extensive inquiry into two important issues regard-
ing the law of aliens. On the one hand it focuses on immigration law study
with an emphasis on the European citizen and the citizen (native or foreigner)
of a third country and on the other hand it analyses the part of nationality
law regarding the acquisition and loss of citizenship. The volume cites legisla-
tion with numerous diagrams and examples and includes the interpretation
of legislation as shaped by legal doctrine, by the jurisprudence of the Greek
and European Courts and Tribunals, by the opinions of the Legal Council of
the Hellenic State and by the interventions of the Greek Ombudsman. The
administrative practice, as it has evolved following numerous circulars and ad-
ministrative documents, is extensively discussed, and a manual on judicial pro-
tection is provided, along with templates of application forms and pleadings.
