Judicial maps and judicial time

management in administrative courts

European public policies for the reform of judicial system

M. Pikramenos

Abstract:

Τhis study introduces innovative proposals for substantive reforms

to the system of administrative justice in Greece. A very important dialogue

has developed in European organisations about the future of justice and in this

framework the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice has published

significant studies about judicial maps and judicial time management. This book

presents the work of the above european organisation, describes the contempo-

rary reforms in european countries and analyses the greek judicial system in the

fields of judicial maps and management. The last chapter gives a plan of changes

which are inspired from the european model. The modernization of judicial sys-

tem demands public policies, best practices, the introduction of new technolo-

gies and a new type of judge who has the ability to work as a manager, when he

excersices his duties.
